Description of the route: We leave the inn towards Cubas along a country road, surrounded by green meadows. When we reach the church we take the path to the right until we reach the top of the cross passing by some greenhouses. We will take the path to the left, towards Suesa.
Straight ahead we follow the road that will take us to Somo, crossing the town and reaching the long bridge that connects this town with Pedreña. You will enjoy a beautiful walk, with fantastic views of the bay of Santander and the endless Puntal beach; and on the left side the green mountains of the Pasiegos and Sobanos valleys. Thus we arrive at the Pedreña pier, where we can take a boat that leaves us in the center of the city. Continuing with our route, if we exit to the right and head Towards the end of the pier, we must turn left along the last street we find, approximately 100 meters from this place we enter a beach, where on the left we find a wooden walkway that corresponds to the first section of the path. . After finishing this walkway we continue our journey along a cobblestone path that ends up taking us away from the coast through an old hermitage that is in a state of ruin.
The next section runs by road, so it is advisable to take precautions with cars. At the hermitage we continue straight ahead and about 500 meters there is a marker in the ground that shows us the direction to the path. This is very close to us although a little hidden, since we will have to take a tree-lined street to the right that does not have any indications and that takes us to the Pedreña treatment plant, shortly after passing a small dairy farm that we pass on our right. Pedredo Pier Beach…
In the next section, again on a pedestrian or bicycle path and approximately one and a half kilometers long, we head towards the La Junquera municipal golf course, which we border following the marked path, which cannot be missed.
Once we have bordered the golf course, we begin to climb a cliff, this being the section with the most spectacular views of the walk, because when we reach the top we have Peña Cabarga on our left, right in front of Astillero, and from left to right we have views over the airport, the port of Raos, Santander, the Magdalena peninsula, the island of Mouro, Puntal and Pedreña, giving us a complete and privileged perspective of the bay of Santander. When we reach the pipeline, we will turn around and return the same way to Pedreña.

Afterwards, return to the inn to enjoy a well-deserved rest under the magnolia tree in the garden.

WALK ALONG THE PEDREÑA COAST Map data – Terms of use Distance: 14 kilometers.
